Okay, so...um...what to tell you all...
Well, Connor had his first day at the beach recently. Sure we live near a beach, but not a very pretty one. Some good friends got married in Destin, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Connor seems to really like the water, although I think the waves and the salt were a bit much for him. Sadly, we had an unfortunate accident with our digital camera which resulted in the loss of lots of pictures, including those from our trip to Destin. No worries! I still have plenty of pictures.
Connor also got to see the French Quarter last weekend on his first trip to New Orleans. He was all giggles and bounces the whole time, so I think he liked it down there. Oh, and he really loves him some Jodi (shoutout to the birthday twin!).
He's eating applesauce now, spitting out peaches, and playing with kiwi. He seems to love avocado, and he'll put up with bananas. No, he's not really eating that much, he's still got a diet that mainly consists of breast milk (from a bottle, for those who think its creepy...shame on you!). We've been supplementing with some rice cereal, and now with some first foods, but we've been very fortunate that Debbie has been able to keep up with the pump.
He talks! Well, okay, he doesn't use any words that any of us would recognize, but I swear he expresses himself with sentences, and sometimes what seem to be paragraphs. He's got most of the vowels down, and B, G, P, R (usually by accident), M, and a few other consonants. I think we'll be getting his first real word soon.
The most exciting thing to see is his attentiveness. It's ridiculously cute. When he sees something he's interested in, he'll lean forward, and get a highly contemplative look on his face, as if he were trying to solve a calculus problem.
He's crawling, as well. Not in the traditional sense, but if he wants to get somewhere, he does. He'll get up on his hands an knees, rock back and forth, and then lunge. It's kind of like a little tree frog taking baby hops. If that doesn't get him there, he'll just roll. We're about to have to do some serious baby-proofing around here.
What's that? You don't care!?! Well fine, here's your dumb pictures...

(Disclaimer: Due to my recent delinquency in the blogosphere there is a gap in Connor's growth that you guys missed. I'll post some of the in-between pictures soon. Maybe even a video or two.)
